Reflection

I Learned as a researcher that it can be fun to use slang in diffrent ways it can sometimes be sometimes entertaining ,fun, exciting. but the hardest part of doing this research was to find the information because in certain websites it's kind of hard to look of certain slangs so i went to urban dictionary and i found my topic and i had a sigh of relief. the easiest part was to do the survey because basically you is asking questions and the graph chart was enough information to put down. I learned that slang changes the world because slang is a part of everyday life because you go somewhere and you see at least someone using slang diffrent people uses slang and diffrent ways.

Further research

if we want more information on the change of slang from generation to generation. i would find more sources such as a diffrent survey to describe how slang changes they should have more open sources such as dictionary or slang dictionaries and describe exactly what time the slang started.
what year and who was the first group of people to say the word.

Social Change

Slang does not have to change because it becomes from certain regions and it develops overtime like somebody can be saying shawty now then a couple generations later they could be saying something else. Slang changes the world in diffrent ways.

Conclusions

According to the graph the information of Decatur high School 9th grade students who said that they use the word"Shawty" 51% of the population said they never use the word shawty. while 12% of the school population says they use the word "Shawty" very often.

The article explains the word shawty has changed overtime it started as being a word to substitute for the word shorty. but later had many meanings like a good looking woman or it replaces the word His, Her, He, She, but the word changed and developed over time.

Survey Data

According to the graph 51% of Ms.bergman class population says they never use the word shawty. while 19% says rarely and 14% says sometimes and 4% says often and 12% says very often. according to the information given the information majority of Ms.Bergman class A-D block does not use the word shawty very often, while only 12% says very often it does mean that a few of the population of Ms.bergman A-D block uses the word shawty.

The author is showing from this information that the word "Shawty" Was created in Atlanta though it was a word substitute word for the word "shorty"meaning A short person or child but the span of the word has grown to include all people, especially a girl who is very attractive; it is mostly used as a term of endearment to others or just a way of adressing someone,the word shawty can be used as a greeting farewall or in the place of peoples names or pronouns(he,she,her). but the word developed over the years meaning good looking woman or your girlfriend. but the word shawty can be used in a variety of ways.

To find how different groups of races use different slang.I wonder if people in the same race use the same kind of slang.
